Archbishop Cletus Bassey Anoints New Village Head of Idu Uruan Community in a Decent and Colourful Ceremony
Saturday 15th August, 2020 marked the beginning of a new dawn in Idu Uruan; a village in Central Uruan Ward 1, the headquarter of Uruan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, an oil rich village and the birth place of God's servant, the prelate and presiding Bishop of Destiny International Mission Worldwide, Archbishop Dr. Cletus Bassey. It was the coronation and presentation of certificate to the newly elected village head of Idu Uruan, Ette Nnyin, Obong Godwin Edet Okoho.
Ette Nnyin, Obong Godwin Edet Okoho holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and has served the community judiciously and uncompromisingly at various capacities most notably as the Youth Leader of Idu Uruan some years back. A man well known for his discipline and strength of character, little wonder why His Grace would against all odds and opposition vouch for him.
In a speech by the newly elected village head Ette Nnyin, Obong Godwin Edet Okoho, crimes such as cultism, kidnapping, rape, murder, robbery and any form of organized crime would not be tolerated by his administration.
His Grace, Archbishop Cletus Bassey in his speech stressed that this is a new administration that will not welcome any form of lawlessness and insubordination as was seen in previous administrations. He prayed and anointed the new village head for good and Godly leadership, peace, long life and prosperity. The servant of God also called on those on the other side of the bridge who wrote all forms of petitions against the emergence of the new administration to withdraw them and embrace peace and unity for the common progress of the Idu Uruan community.
Various guests at the occasion also felicitated with the new chief and thanked the Archbishop for not sitting on the sideline of the affairs of his community and the state at large.
In attendance were dignitaries from various cadres of leadership and the economy including the Igbo Community and Yoruba Community resident in Idu Uruan.
